Issa Rae Is The First Woman In Almost A Decade to Host this Iconic Awards Show
For the first time in almost a decade a woman will hold sway over the podium at the renown CFDA Fashion Awards and that woman is none other than Issa Rae. On June 4, the Senegalese American actress-director-producer will take over hosting duties from SethMeyers and host the ‘Oscars’ of Fashion in Partnership with Swarovski.
The Council of Fashion Designers celebrates the best in fashion with categories such as Best Womenswear Designer of the Year and Best Accessories Designer of the Year. Past luminaries include Paul Andrew, Raf Simons and Marc Jacobs.
